On your PC

1. Download chosxnnn.zip. The file is in compressed format to minimise download time.
2. Decompress chosxnnn.zip. If you don't have any decompression programs on your PC, you may download winzip from www.winzip.com. After decompression, the following files will reside in your PC.

   where x=	h for GB (simplified fonts) light version;
   	g for GB (simplified fonts) full version;
   	s for BIG5 (traditional fonts) light version;
   	l for BIG5 (traditional fonts) full version;
   nnn=	version number of ChOS

3. Invoke the PalmPilot Install Tool.

   

4. Install Chinese OS main program, chos1x.prc or chos2x.prc depending on the version of your Pilot OS.

   

5. Similarly, install font database and input methods to your Palm.
   - font database cfontx.pdb
   - one or more input methods that you want

1. Click the Chinese OS icon.

2. If you have not yet registered, or you have just upgraded Chinese OS, a Registration Screen will pop up.

   

   To register, enter the Registration Code. Be sure that it is in the exact upper and lower cases as the one provided by the developer and that 0(zero) and o(oh) and 1(one) and l(ell) are not mixed up. Click the Register icon.

   If you want to try using the Chinese OS before paying for it. Wait for about 10 seconds and a try it icon will appear. Click the icon to invoke the trial version of ChOS.

3. Enable Chinese OS and select your preferences
