Big Two, Chor Dai Di (鋤大D). Also known as Da Lao Er (大老二), Bu Bu Gao Sheng (步步高昇), Pusoy Dos, Big Deuce or Deuces. It is a card game that has become very popular in East Asia since 1980s and has spread to some western countries.
The four players compete to be the first to get rid of all cards. The cards rank from high to low: 2-A-K-Q-J-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3 and suits from high to low: spades♠, hearts♥, clubs♣, diamonds♦.
The play is anticlockwise. In the very first deal of a session, the player who holds ♦3 begins and must play this card, either by itself or as part of a legal combination. Thereafter the winner of each hand plays first in the next. Alternatively, each deal begins by the player who holds ♦3.
At your turn you must either pass or beat the previous play by playing a higher combination of the same number of cards. This continues until all but one of the players pass in succession. The person who played highest then begins again by playing any card or legal combination of cards.
Passing does not prevent you from playing when your turn comes round again. You may choose to pass and keep high cards for a better opportunity. An exception to this is when the person playing after you has only one card left.
If single cards are being played, you should play your highest card.
If it is your turn to lead, you should either lead your highest card, or a combination with more than one card.
The first player who succeeds in playing all the cards in their hand wins and the hands are scored.
