Original picture
Original Picture

Add Black and white filter. Joy Camera convert picture to Black and White according to the brightness of the pixel, not just averaging the rgb value of the pixel, that give you the best result
Add Black and White effect

Now increase the contrast of the picture, I use 0.7 for the contrast. Normally you will find the picture will be too dark. I increase the brightness by setting the brightness to 0.5.
Add Contrast and Brightness effect

Add some vignetting if you like, to simulate some retro picture. You can skip this step if you don't like vignetting effect. I use the default vignetting values.
Add Vignetting effect

Add sharpen effect to improve the sharpness of the picture. Sharpening especially useful for small scale-down picture. If you save the picture it original size, you will find that it take quite long time to sharpen the picture. So I suggest to skip sharpening for original size picture.
Add Shapen effect
